Certified Executive Coach
Professional Development, Leadership, Confidence, Personal Development

After a marketing career of over 20 years in large enterprises,  I discovered a passion for coaching. Now I help professional women feeling stuck and dissatisfied in their careers see and make the changes needed to create the professional life they desire, and success as they define it. I do this through a process of creating awareness, identifying what needs to change, and supporting you in designing an action plan to move forward.

My desire to help develop others and lead them to a more fulfilling professional and personal life is also driven from my own career experiences. As a marketing professional I enjoyed the opportunity to create, collaborate and develop strategy. However, for years I secretly felt like a square peg in a round whole.  As an introvert and moreover, an INFP within the Myers Briggs personality type, it’s amazing I survived and blended in in a sea of extroverted A types. I noticed my perspectives were different from others and it became clear that I was more concerned about people than things. I instinctively knew that there was another way for me to add value with my natural strengths.

During my years in corporate America, I observed a tendency for organizations to miss out on how their human resources can best be used according to their strengths. There’s often a corporate expectation for everyone to conform to one personality type, which in reality, if this were to occur, the clashes between all of the clones would inhibit progress. It is the diversity of our unique gifts that allow organizations to thrive. I believe this should be nurtured.

Looking back, I see how valuable a coach or long-term mentor would have been. Now I’d like to offer that to others so they can flourish in their careers and live their best life.

The Personal Journey Toward Coaching

I am a native Chicagoan who moved to Dallas, Texas in 1995. You may find that you can relate to me through these experiences:

  • I had the good fortune to land a job right out of college. …Landed the job, but I didn’t have a clue as to what my strengths were or how to manage the corporate environment.

  • I’ve been “downsized.”

  • I’ve been promoted.

  • I’ve moved to another state and took a salary cut, then later landed the perfect marketing position.

  • I’ve left a company voluntarily. I returned to the same company within a year receiving a $20,000 increase over my previous salary.

  • I got married, built a house in the suburbs, and gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl (at risk for carrying a child at all) – all within a 12-month timeframe. I did all of this while continuing a highly demanding marketing management position with a leading communications technology enterprise.

There were other numerous career and life challenges throughout all of this that I wouldn’t trade because those experiences allowed me to develop the skills and the wisdom that contribute to what I can deliver in my business and in the community today to inspire and serve others.
